Clara Rêgo

Visual artist from Porto working with ceramics and tiles.

I make sculptural pieces modeled manually in ceramics, inspired by  shapes and textures of corals, rocks,  minerals, fungi, microscopic images and various other natural elements. The symbolism of my creations draws on various mythologies, dreams and meditations and by crossing them with imaginary utopian narratives, I create elements of feminine expression and empowerment and representations of possible natures, in a creative movement of catharsis and ritual.

- Ceramics course level III in Escola Superior Artística Soares dos Reis, Porto, Portugal;

- BA Comics and Illustration BA in ESAP Guimarães, Portugal;

- BA Hons Fine Art in UEL, London, UK

I work regularly with community projects, managing the development of group tile murals (Camara Municipal de Guimarães, Territórios de Pedra, Biblioteca Municipal de Guimarães, ...)
